Callie & KJ’s Wedding 2.8.2025

After KJ asked the question on September 27th, 2023 (and Callie said yes!), we embarked on a week-long property-searching “holiday” to Devon and Somerset. On our last day, we viewed and instantly fell in love with Kents Mill and hoped that this would be where we would get married one day. Luckily, all the stars aligned…

Location: Kents Mill

Our wedding will be on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, and we look forward to celebrating with you! Below are all the details about what we plan for the day. We hope you can celebrate with us.

Order of The Day

12 pm: Arrive at Kent’s Mill from noon on August 2nd, 2025. You can park on-site, so let us know in the RSVP if you plan to park so we can ensure enough parking is allocated on-site or close by (within walking distance).

1.00 pm: The wedding ceremony will begin at 1 pm on our field (open air), but provisions will be in place if it rains (please pray to the weather gods of Exmoor for a bright, sunny day instead of drizzle!)

2:00 pm: A few photos

3:00 pm: Canapes, drinks, line dancing & games

5.00 pm: Live music, luxury BBQ buffet (sit down), speeches and dancing ’til late.

8:00 pm: As the party continues, snacks (wood-fired pizza, etc) will be served.

11:30 pm – Midnight: Carriages.

Dress Code

Dress to impress with a country western twist! Bring your bolo tie, stetson or chaps if they’re your thing – the bottom line is we want you to be comfy all day. Remember that the wedding is on a grass field when deciding your footwear.

Food & Drink

Please ensure you include all dietary requirements when you RSVP so we can accommodate everyone. Catering will be provided by Field to Fork, a local West Country catering company that prides itself on local and sustainable produce—we’re sure you’ll enjoy everything they serve! Both soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will be available all day, so there is no need to BYO or bring cards or cash.

Local Accommodation

There are plenty of beautiful and quirky places to stay in and around Dulverton/Exmoor. Booking early is highly recommended, as things get booked quickly around here, especially during summer. We have listed some recommendations for local stays here, but contact us if you need any help with where to stay.

Onsite Accommodation

We will be pitching up an area with approximately 5 bell tents/yurts at one end of the property that will be available to hire (with “camping” facilities/everything) if you fancy glamping out under the stars next to the River Exe. Please let us know if you are interested in reserving one; a couple have already been reserved. Alternatively, if you prefer to bring your own tent, there’s plenty of room in the upstairs veggie garden, so make a note when you RSVP.

What’s On In Exmoor?

While in the South West, why not take some time to explore the local sights and attractions? There’s plenty to do, whether you enjoy hiking, swimming, horse riding, walking, visiting charming villages, gastropubs, beaches and farms (and so much more!). Wedding Gifts

We’re so delighted you’re making the trip to Kents Mill to share our wedding revelries. Celebrating with you after we say “I do” is all we could ask for, so please bring your hugging arms and dancing shoes in lieu of bulky gifts. A wedding Mailbox will be present if you want to contribute to the day or for the start of our married life.

Taxis & Transport

We strongly urge you to pre-book taxis/ find private transport options if you don’t plan on driving after all the festivities. As you can probably imagine, you won’t find Uber or Bolt in Exmoor and local taxi services are limited, hence why we strongly recommend pre-booking:

Plenty of organic confetti will be readily available for all to use and throw on the day.
